Become a My Sherpa coach
Student, teacher or professional: give private lessons close to home or online, to primary, secondary and higher education students or adults, all over Belgium.
A sherpa guides climbers all the way to the summit. Our coaches do the same with their students: they walk the path with them, at their own pace, all the way to their goal. Lead them to the summit.
Student or working professional, there’s a place for you
Our coaches come from varied backgrounds. What matters is your subject and your wish to pass it on.
You’re a student
A student job that fits around you.
When it suits you
A few hours a week, whenever you like.
Close to home or online
You choose your students.
Fund your projects
Without using up your student hours.
A boost for your CV
Real professional experience.
You’re a working professional
Teacher, engineer, translator or professional from another sector.
A side activity
Alongside your job, in the evening or at the weekend.
Your experience counts
Your teaching or professional background is an asset for your students.
Students of every level
From primary school to higher education, and adults.
You stay in control
Of your hours and the students you accept.
Under which status do you teach?
Whether you’re a student or already working, several statuses are possible.
The sharing economy: you teach between private individuals through our approved platform, without setting up any status. Your income is taxed at a reduced rate, up to an annual ceiling of €7,890 in 2026, and does not count towards your student hours.
Self-employed status, full-time or part-time, if you already have it or if you go over that ceiling. You can also teach through your company.
We explain everything in detail during the training that follows your interview.
You can become a My Sherpa coach if…
The same three conditions, whatever your profile.
You master a subject
At school or university level, at the level you teach.
You’re good at explaining
You can pass on knowledge, explain things differently and check that the student has understood.
You know how to motivate
You encourage, build confidence and inspire your students.
What you get at My Sherpa
You focus on your lessons, we take care of the rest.
Students without having to look for them
