Private statistics lessons in higher education
A statistics coach to understand the course, practise and pass the exam, in psychology, economics, science or medicine, at home anywhere in Belgium or online.
Understanding the concepts, choosing the right test, interpreting a result
Statistics often trips up students who never meant to do maths: in psychology, social sciences, economics, medicine. Formulas can be learned, but the exam asks you to know which one to apply and what the result means.
The coach starts with the concepts: distribution, variability, probability, sample. Then they train the student to recognise the situation a question describes, choose the right test and write a correct interpretation.
With their coach, the student reviews descriptive statistics, probability, hypothesis tests and regression, and gets to grips with the software their course requires.
Statistics, step by step
Most courses follow the same progression, from describing data to inference.
Describing data
Mean, median, variance, charts and tables: summarising a data set correctly.
Probability
Probability distributions, the normal distribution, sampling: the basis for everything that follows.
Inference
Confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, correlation and regression, with the interpretation expected in the exam.

Statistics: your questions
From €40/h, like all private lessons in higher education. The number of sessions depends mainly on how comfortable you are with the basic concepts: your educational advisor sends you a quote, with no obligation.
Go back over the concepts before the formulas. A statistics resit often comes down to interpretation: the coach starts from the questions missed in June, then trains the student on full exams until they choose the right test on their own.
Yes, if your course uses it. Let your educational advisor know: they will choose a coach who masters the software, so you work on both the theory and how to apply it.
Yes. The exam is mostly about understanding the concepts and choosing the right method, more than calculating. If needed, the coach goes back over the few useful maths basics, then focuses on statistical reasoning.
