A Belgian story, since 2003

My Sherpa was founded by two childhood friends, Michael and Ron, while they were studying civil engineering and business engineering. One observation got them started: many families were looking for a good private tutor, many students wanted to teach, but nothing reliable brought them together.

So they built that bridge, giving the first lessons themselves with their friends. From day one, the principles were there: carefully selected coaches, personal follow-up for every student, trust and kindness. More than twenty years later, these principles still guide us, all over Belgium, from primary school to higher education and for adults.

Why “Sherpa”? In the Himalayas, the sherpa guides climbers to the summit. He knows the terrain, shows the way and looks after the rope team, but he does not carry them: every step is the climber’s own. Our coaches do the same: they show the way, and the student moves forward on their own.
