Private law tutoring in higher education
A law coach to structure the material, solve a case study and pass your exams, at bachelor's or master's level, at university or university college, at home anywhere in Belgium or online.
Remember the material, then apply it to a case
In law, the workload surprises students from the very first term: a thick syllabus for each course, legal articles, case law. Many students read and reread without managing to remember it all.
The coach first helps the student structure each course: the outline, the key concepts, the articles to know, summaries that fit on a few pages. Memorising becomes organised work.
The coach then trains the student for what the exam really asks: qualifying the facts of a case, finding the applicable rule, reasoning and writing a well argued answer, in writing and orally.
The law courses that take the most work
Course titles and order vary from one faculty to another, but the same major subjects come up everywhere.
The foundations
Introduction to law, constitutional law, Roman law, legal history: the basis of legal reasoning, usually in the first year.
Private law
Law of persons and family law, law of obligations, property law, then contract law and company law.
Public law and criminal law
Administrative law, criminal law and criminal procedure, judicial law, European and international law.
A coach who works on your course, at your faculty
The bachelor in law is taught in French at UCLouvain (Louvain-la-Neuve and Saint-Louis Bruxelles), ULB (Brussels and Mons), ULiège and UNamur. In Dutch, the bachelor in de rechten is taught at KU Leuven, UGent, UAntwerpen, VUB and UHasselt.
Law also carries a lot of weight in other programmes: the university college bachelor in law, political science, economics and management, accounting and taxation, criminology, notarial studies, or in Flanders the professional bachelor Rechtspraktijk.
Lessons are given in the language of your studies, French or Dutch, with a coach who starts from your syllabus and the type of exam at your faculty.

Lessons take place at home anywhere in Belgium, or online, at the pace of your academic year: a few targeted sessions before an exam, or regular support from the first term.
Law tutoring in higher education: your questions
In higher education, lessons start at €40/h. The hourly rate decreases with the length of the programme: €45/h for under 12 hours, €40/h from 36 hours. Online lessons have no travel costs. The first three sessions are a trial period: if things don't click with the coach, you continue with another one at no extra cost.
By structuring it before learning it. The coach helps the student identify the course outline, the key concepts and articles, then build short summaries. Memorising then happens by answering exam questions at regular intervals, rather than by rereading the syllabus.
Always with the same method: note the relevant facts, qualify them legally, find the applicable rule, apply it to the facts and conclude. The coach trains the student on exam cases and corrects the writing as much as the reasoning.
Yes. Lessons are given in the language of your studies: for a bachelor in de rechten at KU Leuven, UGent, UAntwerpen, VUB or UHasselt, lessons are given in Dutch, with a Dutch-speaking coach.
Yes, with a targeted approach. The work starts from the courses to resit and the June questions, and focuses on the material that caused the failure. It is better to start as soon as the results are known than in the last week before the session.
