Medical, dental and veterinary school entrance exam preparation in Belgium
Two exams, two programmes: Admissio prepares you for the French-speaking exam, Studant for the Dutch-speaking one. Small groups all year round, with tutors who follow each student until exam day.
A Belgian story
Small group classes, all year round
Both programmes are built around group classes: 13 class days, on Saturdays or Sundays, with the same small group and the same tutors.
Admissio teaches in French in Brussels, in groups of 10 students at most. Studant teaches in Dutch in Antwerp, Brussels and Ghent, in groups of 10 to 12.
In class, you review every exam subject and practise on questions in the exam format. Between two class days, you keep working online, with videos and corrected exercises.
A coach who follows your preparation
Admissio’s annual prep and Studant’s coaching package include a personal coach, who helps you plan realistically, stay focused and keep stress under control.
Workshops complete the class days: exam method at Admissio, stress, fear of failure, planning and exam training at Studant.

Prices for the 2027 exams
Each programme has a group formula and an online formula. Every year, Studant prepares more than 200 students for the Dutch-speaking exam; 82% of them were ranked favourably in 2025.

Two exams, two languages
The university you choose decides the exam you take.
French-speaking universities
ULB, UCLouvain, ULiège, UNamur or UMONS: the ARES entrance exam, in French, at the end of August. Prepare with Admissio.
Flemish universities
KU Leuven, UGent, UAntwerpen, VUB or UHasselt: the toelatingsexamen, in Dutch, in early July. Prepare with Studant.

Both programmes hold free sessions for students and parents: in Brussels for Admissio, online or on site for Studant.
The entrance exams at a glance
In Belgium, medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine start with an entrance exam, organised separately by the French-speaking and the Flemish communities.
Early July
Dutch-speaking exam: medicine on 2 July, dentistry on 3 July, veterinary medicine on 4 July 2027. Registration from 1 March to 17 May 2027.
End of August
French-speaking exam (ARES): one session a year, between 16 and 31 August. It took place on 27 August in 2026; the 2027 date is not yet published.

Both exams combine sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, maths) with generic skills such as communication and critical analysis of information.

It depends on the university: the ARES exam, in French, for French-speaking universities, and the toelatingsexamen, in Dutch, for Flemish universities. You can take both, as they are held on different dates.
The classes are taught in the language of the exam: French at Admissio, Dutch at Studant. Our advisers also answer your questions in English.
Admissio: 1 750 € for the annual prep, in three instalments, and 400 € for the digital prep. Studant: 1 350 € for the basic package, 1 790 € for the coaching package and 590 € for the online course. Information sessions are free.
Yes. From 2027, veterinary medicine is part of the French-speaking ARES exam, with its own ranking. In Flanders, the veterinary exam takes place on 4 July 2027. Both programmes prepare for all three fields: medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine.
Admissio’s annual prep starts on 7 November 2026 (Saturday group) or 8 November 2026 (Sunday group). Studant’s class days start in September and October, and you can join almost all year. The online formulas start whenever you like.
Students in their last year of secondary school, students changing course and candidates retaking the exam. Parents are welcome at the information sessions.
