Tutoring in secondary school, from 1st year to the final year
A coach for your teenager, at home or online. Maths, languages, sciences and study skills, with the three milestones of Belgian secondary school: the CE1D, the move to the qualifying or general track, and the CESS.
From the CE1D to the CESS, the milestones that matter
Secondary school exposes what primary school let slide. A student can keep up for two years with invisible gaps, then fall behind suddenly when the material becomes abstract: typically in maths in 3rd year, or in Dutch as soon as speaking counts.
Three moments shape the journey: the CE1D at the end of 2nd year, which determines the student’s path; the choice of track afterwards; the CESS at the end of the final year. Each one is prepared over the year.
We recommend 2-hour sessions at this level, and private lessons start at €35/hour. If your child attends a Dutch-speaking school, lessons are given in their language of instruction, with a Dutch-speaking coach.

Secondary school support: your questions
The CE1D is taken at the end of 2nd year of secondary school and determines the student’s path. It is prepared over the year, subject by subject, starting with the 1st-year topics that are still shaky: the test covers two years, not just the last one.
The CESS certifies the end of secondary school. Preparation covers mastery of the material as much as exam technique: managing time, structuring a written answer, practising on past papers. Starting in April leaves little margin; ideally, the method is put in place from the start of the final year.

Lessons are always given in the student’s language of instruction. We organise lessons with Dutch-speaking coaches, and also in other languages, for example in English.
