Private English lessons
Many pupils understand the English of the internet and get caught out by school English.
Writing correctly, speaking with ease, passing exams
English is the subject with the biggest gap between how comfortable pupils feel and their marks. A pupil exposed to English every day understands a lot, yet still loses marks on tenses, prepositions and the structure of formal writing, which can't be picked up just by listening.
So the work consists of turning passive understanding into correct production: writing, being corrected, trying again. For adults, the angle is often the opposite: professional writing is already there, and speaking is what holds them back.
With their coach, the pupil reviews grammar and tenses, builds vocabulary, and practises understanding, writing and speaking. Adults work on their business English.

English lessons: your questions
Yes, and it is common. English learnt through series and games gives real oral fluency but ignores what school assesses: grammatical tenses, structured writing, thematic vocabulary. The two skills develop separately.
Yes. Preparation focuses on the format of the test as much as on the language: listening comprehension, written production from instructions, and time management.
Yes. It is one of the most common requests from adults. The programme is built around real situations: meetings, presentations, written exchanges.
